While I agree that the HTC skinning has compromised performance..........I also would like to add blame to the chipset performance!! HTC has tried almost too hard to make Windows Mobile friendlier.......The work they put in to make Capacitive work with Windows Mobile is a huge example. Also the MSM7XXX chipsets have been around for a while.

I have played with the Netripper overclocking tool and it makes the TP2 feel new and alive - until it hangs......STRUGGLE

But if the overclocking can get finalized I think the speed/responsiveness issues will become a moot point. Running at 710Mhz or faster gives me excellent responsiveness from the on screen controls; and browsing lists and opening programs is so fluid. And this is with Energy's CHT with Dinik Glass.
