I use Battery Left and I just drained and charged my phone like I normally would... I always unplug it in the morning, and plug it in before bed at whatever percent it happened to drain down to throughout the day. It took a couple days before the widget showed it was "accurate" but it seems to be in the ballpark of what it should be.
