for those of you who want facebook sync, there is a fix. it doesn't break anything, but it does involve editing the build.prop to change 2 lines of text.
you can do it through your phone, or adb pull it to your desktop and edit it there.
open your build.prop
look for the two lines that say
Code:
ro.product.name=htc_supersonic
ro.product.device=supersonic
change those two lines so that they say
Code:
ro.product.name=opal
ro.product.device=sapphire
uninstall and reinstall facebook, and reboot your phone. when it's back up and running, sign into facebook and it should ask you if you want to sync your contacts.
hope this helps! You have to remove facebook from the system/app folder. I used root explorer from the market and accomplished this in 1 minute.
