What I did in my case was use Titanium backup to backup all my apps and settings for each app, then cleared out everything and started from scratch. Reinstalled Titanium backup and reinstalled all my apps with their settings, and I was good to go, even all my email accounts were already back and settings for each kept by titanium backup.
The only thing I had to do was get my phone settings back to the way it was, vibrate, brightness, etc. But it was fairly really fast because everything else is tied to google
