The reason iphone got big is because it has an integrated ipod, so that’s what started the masses to jump on it and so far it’s a huge success. I personally enjoy my iphone a great deal, just a great all around phone that does everything I need it to do.

To me, the iphone 4 is not just the OS or the hardware; it’s an all around great package: slim size, quality workmanship, long lasting battery, fantastic screen, great reception, fast speed, many accessories, ipod integration, and finally the many great apps and games make it a winner for me. Even the ATT service has been much better for me in my area than Sprint and T-Mobile. To me, the pluses outweigh the minuses by a long margin.
I get what you are saying and I know the iphone does a lot of great things.. the only gripe I have with all phones released these days are the battery life. All these companies want their phone to do it all, but battery life is just not caught up to what it should be. I certainly don't like to carry around a bunch of batteries everywhere i go, but with the iphone you can't change the battery so you're stuck trying to charge it somewhere. I just wished these phones just came with higher capacity batteries that last at least 1 day with extensive use instead of half a day and then running to the charger...
