BYW, Jamaica and Bermuda support CDMA and are therefore irrelevant to this dialog, which is focused on GSM only countries.

First, if stock works for you, flash back to it and enjoy your vacation/work trip. You don't have to use my rom or anyone elses on here it as is your choice. Secondly, the only thing I can think of is that due to making the phone tethering/wi-fi router undetectable, certain aspects of how the rom was put together had to be altered since Sprint's new update continuosly changed back the provisions for tethering even after changing them over manually. You may also want to make sure that global smart dialing is enabled as well as automatic prepend (just an idea) Try another chef's rom (mighty/mr.x) and let me know you if you get the same results. As I stated before, I removed almost nothing from the rom only added/customized/tweaked. Lastly, my work is made for me and it is my
choice, not obligation to share it or help you with it. I answer these/your questions and create my rom's on my own time and last time I looked, your signature was not on my paycheck.
And check my 6.5.X rom thread for my follow up post to your comment there as well.
EDIT: The issue most likely lies within the changes that were made to the ConnectionSetupoDB folder within the OEM folder of the ROM. This was was done as to make tethering safe and to stop the contstant changing back of the values for "ForceCellConnection" to "PhoneAsModem."
