You can unplug and replug to top off your battery. Check the stickied link on HTC's method of fully charging your battery. This applies with most new Lithium Ion Battery/chargers..

I have read all that already, its just that I don't lose battery life like that when I first take it off the charger. For example I just took it off the charger 15 minutes ago, made a phone call to my mom for 10 minutes and send about 5 test messages and guess what I am not having the issues as rdcrds is having.
