YOU CAN'T. your best bet would be to call sprint and tell them that you're leaving the country and want to sim card activated for international use. but even if you do turn it on (and if it works here in the US), why would you want to use it?....it's most likely going to be on roaming mode.

here's the simple answer...you've been trying to make your Sprint CDMA phone into a GSM by trying to find a way to make the sim device work here in the US. YOU CAN'T...YOU SIMPLY CAN'T because sprint is not a GSM network. it is CDMA. and no amount of manipulating the sprint sim card will make it a GSM network. the only reason why sprint chose to include a sim device with the tp2 is to make it a "worldphone". that is an extra selling point for them (and verizon). even if you were able to change the programming on the sprint sim card...it still would not work. for the simple reason that sprint is not a GSM network.
