I have seen one other post about "dock mode", but I never enabled that, as I don't even know where that is... And I never even purchased the dock anyway! The phone still charges fine, and is sporadic if trying to connect to HTC Sync... 90% of the time it doesn't connect. I get lucky sometimes and it does. I tried rebooting. Erasing all user data, etc. But no success. I have been trying to flash a new ROM, but SimpleRoot won't work. When it reboots the phone to go to bootloader, the phone just stays off... It never turns on. I tried unrEVOked, but the same effect... It never reboots to the bootloader. And when I do it manually, it checks for update.zip and then just sits there. Never asks to update, nothing... Any ideas? Sorry, it's a lot, but I hope I explained the situation thoroughly. I'm sure at least a few of you Geeks can help out a fellow EVO owner. It's my first Android phone, so be easy...

what software version you running?
htc sync is hit and miss mine never works no big
and did you put the recovery.img on the sd card?
so your rooted? and your trying to load custom rom with simple root? or your still try to get full root?
