As for the auto provisioning, if your phone doesn't display the correct Carrier name in the upper left hand corner, then it WILL NOT auto provision, since that value comes from the same place I read to determine the carrier. This is a problem with something being screwed up with the PRL and PRI, so the radio is not reporting the carrier to WinMo correctly. To fix this for Sprint the directions are here: http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/showthread.php?t=117547.

And as for "There really was no need, since you only need to run it once." considering the sheer amount of people who constantly go back and check it and then complain on the forums that its always at telus, thinking that it HAD NOT run, i can only think that plenty of need is their.
I mentioned the prov before and no-one said it was a JMZ thing, I am sorry I put your name their, I was unaware (and was not corrected on that fact in the 5 other posts where i pointed at you before).
As for AutoProv, the carrier string seems to be correct unless im looking in the wrong place in the registry, oh and the upper left hand corner shows correctly as well. I have the latest PRI as well.

nope, not me, if it bothers you that much, list your cabs and standard WM settings (IE those not related to installed cabs), despite whats said, cabs for WM6/6.1 may "work" fine on WM6.5+.x but the core is still different, its like making a program for Win95, it works on Win98(and SE) but there will be issues you might not notice in the normal operations... (i have a VPC of 98SE... NT4 as well with USB hack... but a USB hack on a VPC is almost pointless LOL!)

Probably not the issue, but make sure its not plugged into the PC, also make sure its updated, also i know in some of the first versions i would get an error when their was an update (before update detection was perfected, make no mistake it had the function but it didnt always work). It worked fine for me (i read the post last night but didnt reply), it could be a server issue on MSFT's side like some say.
