I used both roms too and I have not seen the problems that you are talking about except for the sun animation but the remove programs menu works, the send message from any contact works for me. The only thing I agree with you is the choppy sun animation. But as for the other two problems they do not exist. I don't have any idea because I am not experiencing those problems.
