Quick question for anyone...

I've got a theme issue. If i change the theme from my default cooked in theme, the theme changes over fine. If I then go back to my default theme, the default theme doesn't get set. Instead, I get what looks like the total lack of a theme. If I choose another theme and then try and choose my default theme again, usually it will work.

Can anyone tell me where I should be looking for this problem?
