it's not very thick at all. If I had to compare it, I'd say it was as thick as the soft rubber case I had on it before. The difference is, I had to be very careful what was next to the rubber case in my pocket because that too would come out. Lost 2 credit cards and almost lost some cash because they came out when I took out the phone from my pocket with the soft rubber case. I don't foresee that happening with this case as it's a lot slicker. Although that may prove a problem when you hold the case, though.
