Right now, the EVO's performance is laughed at by older android models. Seriously, if you got an EVO just because you needed a phone, then great for you. Some of us bought it to be the best phone at the time. The EVO has all the hardware to be the best, but just bad/lazy implementation of firmware. HTC is great at pumping out specs, but they are known to take shortcuts. It's a love/hate relationship, going back to the 8525 days.

I agree that there should be no cap. If They tout it's the best, then it should be unhindered and be the best. BUT, at the same token, I don't see/notice it and it's not effecting me so it's not a problem. I bought it to be the best phone for me and do what I need it to do, and it does it well. I agree that HTC has poor implementation of firmware and sometime, it will bite them in the ass. And yeah, I'll be first in line to get the fix (if it ever happenes) because it's free and I don't have to feed it. I've said my peace and I'm done.
