Root and Removing Sprint Apps.
Sorry to have to ask this but I haven't been able to find a clear answer on here or over at XDA.

My EVO is running the latest OTA update. It's stock.

I want to be able to uninstall the Sprint Apps and run tethering.
Do I need root, full root or a custom rom?
OR a combination of the 3.

I'm happy running the Sprint rom for now and would like to stick with it for a bit.
