Come to find out in Fayetteville, NC. Alltel customers are not able to access VZW towers still.

I am just the opposite, I am a Verizon customer living in Louisiana where there was no VZW presence until VZW purchased Alltel. There have been many areas where I could not use my phone in the state until i started using the hybrid PRL. I can only assume that VZW has net migrated all of the towers to there network yet but all I can say is that my coverage has vastly improved since I started using the hybrid PRL. Long story shortened, you may wan to try to use the hybrid PRL at see it it has the same effect for you only in reverse.
Never mind, I read the rest of your posting (phone cut off the bottom) and I see that's what your did.
