Not sure who or what you are directing your post at but if your are unsure then it's best not to go experimenting in areas your not familiar with.

The updated Start Over method does not use adb at all-the original one didnt either. Now whitslack simplified it even further into basically one step, it's just rooting your phone again.
OMJ will have 4G fixed soon but if you can wait at least read the thread

IMHO if you are going to be involved in custom ROMS and having root access it will only help you to have even just a basic understanding of adb (among other tools of the SDK)

This is by no means required but it'll only help. Of course even after studying you should never do anything you're not 100% sure of.
