In my NRG setup, it either shows no buttons (just the text) where it says Action and Menu or it has two very plain black boxes instead of the more stylish boxes some other ROMs use.

I figured out to change these once, but it was a long time ago & I don't remember how I did it.

I thought they where set buy the Theme, change your theme and they Change. or at least I think that's what you are referring to.
