Why not just wait for the 3ghz phones? Either way, the hummingbird is on par with the 1.5ghz snapdragons...so this phone won't be out of date for at least a year..just like any phone...2ghz speed means nothing as right now the phones are being limited by their GPU, not CPU...we do not do any CPU intensive tasks on our phone yet..but the GPU has been terrible..and most of the CPU load was due to missing GPU drivers/acceleration support....
You will of course benefit if they give you 1gb ram for example...but you will not see a difference when you use the phone...I mean what plays solitaire faster, a 1ghz pc or 2ghz pc?
And even if they get up to 2ghz, will the battery life be more taxing and etc...
I wouldn't exactly call myself a samsung fan, but this device outclasses everything out now by 2x fold...this is the biggest jump since TP2 to the Nexus in terms of performance...
