After you've installed it, you will need to edit your MMS server settings for sprint to allow them to be edited (quick registry edit will do)
Change the Connect via to the call tones connection, which has the proxy settings for you, and all is well. In a bit i'm sure someone will some time will make a cab that makes this all painless.
I've been able to send pictures without a problem since I made the change. Good luck folks.
