They have been doing the same thing in DC. I was able to use it since I got my Evo and was even able to connect a good 15 miles outside of DC. But when I tried connecting a few days ago I got a really strong connection to 4G but I wasn't able to get any data. I took it as a sign that they were probably testing and that hopefully it wouldn't be much longer until its official.
