0002 here and my buttons are the same in the dark with a faint glow to them. Haven't noticed any leakage but haven't checked in the past week and a half.
I asked RS for a replacement but they haven't got any in stock. The screen is raised on one side a little or I wouldn't bother although some have said their replacement was a disappointment.
