Most of the glue that was left over was still sticky, so I just stuck it on quickly and it stayed on very nicely. Next time though I will probably have to use some sort of glue to keep it on. Sorry I can't help with what kind of glue to use.
Hopefully someone will say what kind of glue to use.
You can use very thin double sided tape cut into strips or some sort of gel adhesive that is still pliable when dry.
