Android, HTC EVO 4G, Sprint
Not to be outdone by their rivals Verizon Wireless with the Motorola Droid X, Sprint today sent me a note about an upcoming Android 2.2 upgrade for their HTC EVO 4G super-phone. The new version of Android is being eagerly awaited by Google phone owners, in large part because it will enable Adobe Flash 10.1 to work in their phones' Web browsers. I'm also very happy to see they're enabling voice dialing over Bluetooth. Here's the word from Sprint:
"As work on finalizing the software is underway, Sprint expects to launch Android 2.2 in the near future. It will also be available as an upgrade on the recently launched HTC EVO 4G. With the Android 2.2 upgrade, customers can expect improvements to include the following benefits among others: updates to user interface, improved EAS Support, improved Browser Performance including Flash 10 Support, voice dialing over bluetooth and application storage on external memory."
