as far as this topic is concerned im with redd it's to early to tell if it will be a flop but they need to get on the ball, when i read stuff like this:
About 20% of the Android Apps in the Android Marketplace may have total access to your personal information as well as the ability to do things with your phone without your immediate knowledge and permission.
Some of the apps were found to have the ability to do things like make calls and send text messages without the mobile user doing anything. For instance, five percent of the apps can place calls to any number and two percent can allow an app to send unknown SMS messages to premium numbers that incur expensive charges, security firm SMobile Systems concluded in its Android market threat report.
Meanwhile, dozens of apps were found to have the same type of access to sensitive information as known spyware does, including access to the content of emails and text messages, phone call information, and device location, said Dan Hoffman, chief technology officer at SMobile Systems.
Is this all okay because the apps ask permission to access all of your personal data when you install them though?

just not something that makes me want to jump over to the droid platform, but at the same time who's to say we wont see stuff like this after wm7 drops, personally im gonna wait till it's been out a bit before i jump ship,i think ppl get too damn excited about anything new for instance the fabled EVO,seriously how many SERO plan users that switched are just disappointed with the device,to be so badass it sure does have a shitload of shitty reviews, and i see a new EVO for sale thread every other minute it seems
when a phone "first of it's kind" drops ppl are hit with shock and awe!! in reality they are lured into buying a demo phone IMO,less than 4 months after something like the EVO drops is when you will see the stable devices start appearing that will have most issues nipped in the butt,i feel the same way with first model wm7 devices,im gonna wait till it's been out a minute to see how things pan out first, but as a few others have posted if it is what they are making it out to be it will be damn nice besides the horrid look of the ui lol
