Awesome find... Downloaded and transferring a file for testing right now.
Edit: Playing an MKV encoded DVD, plays okay... Bit of stutter here and there, but pretty watchable. Definitely a step in the right direction!
Edit 2: Audio and Video streams get out of sync and end up with quite a bit of stutter... Might work better with a smaller resolution than 480i.
