I'm sure this has been considered, but should the check for update program be run weekly instead of every few resets? I know MR.X said he wouldn't to lessen the bandwidth demands, but for folks that don't reset often (God bless them) they might go a couple of weeks without knowing. You're the boss, though! Just my thought...
