Another thought. When you go into the menu on the home tab, and hit "set wallpaper", do you have a wallpaper selected for "all tabs"? I only set the all tabs wallpaper. It sounds like you have no wallpaper selected so it defaults??? And you have a separate wallpaper selected for Home tab (on the top of the screen). Hope this helps!
