Email response REALLLLLY SLOW.

All this month the builds have been giving me fits with very slow response for retrieving email. Many times the email client would display "Looking for changes" and never get anywhere. The message would "stick" and no emails are retrieved. If I hit "Send/Receive" again then the message changes to "Disconnecting" and stays that way. A soft reset was the only way to take another crack at getting email. This happens with both POP3 and Exchange accounts.

This behavior is the same in the current June 19th 21905 and 23569 Dinik ROMs. I loaded up a June 11 23569 Sense 2.5 Cookie ROM and still had the same thing.

I loaded up the Verizon MR1 update ROM and wow, email just flew. Hmm, just a problem with the newer Energy builds? Sense 2.5?

Loaded up Energy.IMAGIO.23569.Sense2.1.Jun.19. This flew right along. So it isn't WinMo 6.5.5, is it Sense 2.5? Downloading Energy.IMAGIO.23569.Sense2.5.Reference.Jun.19 now and will check it out. If that is OK then about all that is left is Cookie as the culprit.

I'll update this post with the results.

Loaded up the reference ROM. Back to a crawl and the same lock ups on the email. So for me it is definitely Sense 2.5 that is the issue.

As much as I like Cookie and Dinik I have to have functioning email. So its back to the Energy.IMAGIO.23569.Sense2.1.Jun.19 for me.
