Like many of you I got my TP2 in September of last year. Since I'm a premiere member, my renewal is September of this year. I've seen a few people on the forum say they have called in and sprint has upped there renewal dates a few months so they could get the EVO for 199. So I thought I would give it a shot.
When I asked the rep my renewal date she quoted me September of '11. I said whoa, I'm on the premiere plan shouldn't it be '10? She looked and said, no your daughters phone will be ready for upgrade in a 6 months. She told me my daughters phone was the main phone on the account and she gets the 1 year upgrade. I said nah, it's mine, I've had it for 15 years. She politely let me know that as they add lines, the newest line becomes the main line, its how the system does it. Thats all fine and good until this comes up.
The kicker is this, she actually told me they could move up the upgrade date a few months on one line. But, she was going to have to change my phone to the main line. That takes a full billing cycle (july 2nd). Then once my line is the main line, it takes another 3 months before I can use the premiere discount. So that puts it in October. Maybe I should have checked all this sooner, but I don't understand their thought process. It's very aggrevating. Maybe a rep today will understand. What do you guys think?

you know, the exact same story happened to me. just i dont have a wife or a daughter on the account. and weve been with sprint for 11 years. but other than that exact same thing, and i was trying to see who the f*ck changed my line from primary to unprimary. they didnt know. all they could say is we only do it if asked by the person who owns the account. well, Thats ME!!! I Didnt Do It So Who Did???
bottom line, sprint ****ed me over for this one. i bought the phone cash and full price somewhere else and added it to my account.
