Jailbreaking and unlocking is not illegal, illegally downloading iOS 4 via torrent is illegal.

we cannot have illegal discussions on the boards per the rules. It's a copyright issue, jailbreaking/unlocking doesn't violate any laws, it just voids your warranty.
