I can confirm everything masterhoss has said, exact same issues with activesync/encryption/lock. This is very similar to CHT earlier on when you installed it without it being cooked into a ROM. It would "break" your home screen after the encryption was done on restart. Cookie said that the encryption did not allow some files to be changed and this is what caused the issue. I will have to use Energy w/o CHT until Cookie can resolve this Black Sense issue.

bg18461: do you happen to know if anyone as reported this to Cookie? meant to post something on his XDA thread, but I wasn't sure if this is already a known issue.
