OK, I never used Outlook for contact and calendar but I think you can set Outlook up to sync with gmail.

Google apps-does this help contacts and calendar?

Worst case scenario for contacts would be to export them into a csv file and then import that into your gmail.

Your wipe may not have gone right. I'd try again, wipe cache and dalvic cache 2X each. Then re-flash. The ROM has been rock solid for me from Day 1.
