It is true that Sprint owns controlling interest in Clearwire. However, Clearwire is NOT Sprint. I know for a fact that when something goes wrong with a Clearwire 4G antenna that Sprint has no direct control over that and they must open a trouble ticket with Clearwire for service. Also, I'm not aware of any 1.9Ghz repeaters that also cover 2.5Ghz.
OP, how about a test. Move to the point where you do get a full 3G signal from the repeater (repeaters that are installed in buildings are low power and clearly work within much less than 100 feet or they would not work in a large part of the building) then check your 4G signal.
