*The following guide is to be performed at your own risk*
**This is only meant to fix the light leak not the screen lift (My phone had light leak but no lifting screen)**
So after noticing the light leakage problem with the EVO, I decided to implement a fix which after 24 hours has shown to be effective in removing any light leakage from the bottom/corners of the phone.
For those who do not know, the light "leak" is when light can be seen past the outer edge of the screen between the phone housing. It has been reported to be seen the most underneath the 4 buttons at the bottom of the phone.
For this fix you will need a few items which can be picked up at any Home Depot or hardware store.
-Plasti-Dip - Spray Can (This is a spray which will rubberize when dry)
-Thin plastic strip or protective film from a screen protector
-Q-Tips
-Foam bowl
Items:
Step 1: Spray a small amount of Plasti-Dip into the foam bowl and using your protective film from your screen protector (or an equivalent) dab a small amount onto one of the edges.
Step 2: Using the edge of the screen protector, slide it into the gap which exists between the phone housing and the screen (if you get a little sloppy don't worry as the stuff wipes away clean when it's wet or dry)
Step 3: Using a Q-Tip or soft cloth, wipe away any excess. The Q-Tips seemed to do a great job getting into the gap. Now check your phone under a dim light. If any light still passes through, repeat as necessary until no more light leaks through. This will also keep any dust/debris from getting into the phone where light was passing through.
