Re: help me fix my phone problems with a new rom plz

I think most people will agree that strictly based on his long history of fast stable roms with this forum, that mighty is probably the #1 recommended rom out there, and for good reason. I would start there because its easy to flash, everything is organized and it has some nice functionality built in, and it will be a good starting place for you to get your feet wet with modding, and learning windows mobile. That being said, you have several choices. Your two main interfaces to choose from are HTC Sense, which is the same look as the stock rom, and Titanium, which is the windows mobile 6.5 default interface. If you are looking for the fastest rom, titanium is the only way to go because it uses less memory. That being said, im on the latest mightyrom with sense enabled, and i have zero issues running out of memory and im a heavy user (2 batteries per day normally). Another good and fast rom (the fastest ive tried to date on the TP2) is silence rom. That being said, the start menu is much less organized than mighty, so if you are a neat freak like me you will have to do that manually once the rom is loaded.

Most of the chefs have a nice FAQ, detailed installation instructions, and lots of support lined up on the very first page of the rom thread, so as stated above, read, read, and read somore before you flash. Once you get a rom you like and learn a little bit about windows mobile, you will be much happier with the phone. The potential of these devices is amazing, and its sad that the stock rom does not realize the devices potential, but i can tell you from experience, that if you do your research and have patience, you will reach a point where you never want another operating system again. Ive tried to go away from windows mobile so many times when im frustrated, and i keep coming right back because it simply cannot be beat if you want a functional stable device. eye candy is NOT everything.
