There is an issue with the charging circuit for the EVO 4G. Let me explain what my phone is doing. I drained it down to 3% and charged it with the phone on, but a strange thing happened. After about 2 hours, the display light up and the LED was still amber in color. I checked my battery status gauge, and it said 97% and battery was discharging. What the hell?
So, I proceeded to restart my phone and sure enough, it showed 100%, but rapidly dropped to 97%. I proceeded to plug in the charger and after 8 minutes, it showed 100%. Afterwards, my phone stayed at 100% for 15 minutes. Next charge cycle, I'm going charge the phone with it off and see if anything strange happens on start up. HTC better fix this issue because of alot people probably think they have a bad battery, but it's probably not getting fully charged.
