Re: HTC EVO on Sprint Employee Account ?
I currently have my Touch Pro2 under and an employee account. I'm not afraid to admit my credit isn't the best. When I tried to open up an account with Sprint under my name to get the EVO, I had to put down a $100 deposit and I was put under that asinine Account Spending Limit program of $150. It's a huge slap in the face considering that in the two years I've been under the employee account, I've paid all of my bills on-time and in full, I've never had my phone turned off, and I've been a very loyal customer. I had one bill that was even $600 because I had my TP2 charged to the account when it was time for my upgrade.
Sprint customer service has been no hep. They tell me it's nothing they can do. I'm seriously thinking about canceling my account by July 4th. My friend who works for Sprint whose account I'm under, tells me I'll be able to get the phone under his account and I'll be able to keep my current F&F plan of 1000 minutes ... unlimited web/text/pics ... unlimited nights/weekend ... all for $35. I'll assume he knows what he's talking about. He seems pretty adamant about it.
Right now, I can't see any benefits of keeping the plan I have right now under my own name. I'll have to go back to my TP2 briefly (it's gonna be really hard) but it'll be worth it. Especially since Sprint has me under this ridiculous ASL. I, too, hope my friend is right when he says I'll be able to keep my current plan. It's so cheap and it works great for me.
