I didnt have any problems using 2014 and CHT 1.8. Im using 2014 on my hd2 and my girl on her touch pro 2 without any problems. Both have CHT 1.8 cooked in. Only difference with my girls phone is I have to use CFC compression or it wont load. Are you using the correct starticonloader. I would think sense wont boot at all without but you never know.
Problem I started running into with CHT is the lockscreen going behind the taskbar leaving it unable to unlock. But that started happening to me using the 2012 and CHT 1.7.1.
Maybe compare my packages with yours, if you want I can attach my build log.
What file did you have to recmod to get the hd2 rom to boot. Remember all the trouble we were having at first. I think it was notification enhancement but Im not sure. I want to try and recmod that and retry my 3.01 kitchen core. It boots all the way to the customization then hangs at 100% again.
