Try this out. Here's what it does...

[HKLM/SOFTWARE/HTC/SUPL AGPS]
"EnableGPSSmartMode" DWORD=0
"GPSMode" DWORD=1
"EnableAGPS" DWORD=0

Let me know if this works!
