Sprint PRL update problem

My phone has been trying to do a IOTA update now for about a week, but due to lousy Sprint coverage within my home it fails repeatedly, well today at work I rebooted my phone and bam got a new PRL (something like 60662). The problem is that now my phone takes a good 4 1/2 to 5 minutes to reboot and lock on a signal. Before it was only a minute and small change. I promptly changed the PRL back to what I was using before 60612 which I know is old but works...

Can anyone give me a possible answer as to why the latest PRL adds 4 minutes to get service to my phone?
