I found this additional post here. Someone thought TP2 AGps is disabled but appears to me it;s enabled by default, at least on sprint.... Unfortunately this thread went nowhere after a total of 2 posts....

I guess you can always go into settings, connections, manage existing connections and screw around with those settings (like deleting #777 so it can't dial into sprint data service), but that's kinda annoying way of doing it. And doing so won't prevent the gps from trying to access data which would bring up a box saying "can't establish data connection" every time.
I obviously completely never use a gsm phone before but, just wondering: when you sign up for a gsm service oversea and get a sim card, do you have to somehow set up the data connection manually (as in going into settings, connections, manage existing connections) or the data connection automatically set up?
Last not least, someone gotta ask the hard-to-answer and not-often-asked questions....
