I know there are numerous threads with the same question but I'm looking for an answer to my specific situation if you all don't mind. I have an HTC Hero with Firmware Version 2.1 and Software Number 2.27. Do I have to downgrade and root to be able to use this:
http://code.google.com/p/android-wif...downloads/list ? Also, the PDAnet (I'm willing to pay) site doesn't say specifically, but does it tether wifi and not just bluetooth or do you have to go wired? Basically I'm trying to avoid rooting because I am not so good with complex setup. Any help with ANY of this would be appreciated.
