I've got a Verizon XV6700 which I've had for a little over 2 years, but I'm a relative newbie at ROM updates. I took the plunge today and downloaded the Apache Kitchen CE OS 5.2.1908 (Build 18508.0.7.0). Worked like a charm...my thanks to helmi_c and GA. Medic, as well as everyone else who contributed to their efforts.

I have encountered one problem, though. I'm running Win XP SP2 on my laptop, syncing with Outlook 2003. Things seem to work fine, except when trying to sync my Outlook Notes. I can remove the Notes from the sync and things work fine, but when I add the Notes back into the sync settings, the sync seems to lock up both the phone and Outlook. Anyone have any suggestions of what to look at?
