I got exactly the same problem with the same version of Titan.
I loaded the 1.06 SPL relocker(as suggested) that I downloaded from
here, and it properly shows 1.06 version on the tri color display now.
However, when I try to load the Sprint version of 3.16 ROM(as suggest by OP on step.4).. I get "Invalid Vender ID" after remaining at 0% progess bar for a few mins.
So I tried to load the DCD version of ROM for the Verizon Titan and it says..
"Error[262]: Update Error".
Could anyone please direct me to the proper step out of this mess?
