Switching the battery between devices won't really tell you anything about the battery overall because they both pull electrical current at different rates in each of the devices. If the EVO is hypothetically pulling 500mA the expectant battery life is 15% based on that power draw. Plugging the battery into the TP2 the power draw might be hypothetically 300mA and based on that power draw the battery has 40% power left for that device.

Now I completely made up the power draw levels for each device as I have no idea what each device actually pulls per hour, but it's obvious that the EVO is going to pull more power than the TP2 given its specs so the example given should explain why each device shows different battery levels.
