Skin Review Thread

Hey guys, I didn't see a thread like this and I figured it would be useful for those that are thinking about putting a skin on their Evo!

Please review the skins that you installed on your phone.

I bought Ghost Armor and Zagg invisible shields.

Ghost Armor:

This is what I have on my phone right now.

Installation: Went relatively smooth. Dried up very quickly and is holding up rather well. Can hardly tell I have a skin on the phone. The skin makes the phone look glossy. To me, I like the glossy look. Others may not.

Pieces: Total of 7 pieces. Top, Bottom, two sides, front, back and kickstand.

Overall coverage: This skin does not cover the entire phone. BUT it does cover most of the phone and I am not too worried about the parts it does not cover.
The front screen protector is probably 1mm too small. I'm not too irked by this, but I have seen some dust sticking to the top of the protector.
Now, the main portion where the phone is not covered is on the back matte portion. The back protector protects the back panel of the phone. (The part that you remove when you take the cover off.) There is a little matte area after that cover that will be left unprotected. (By the sides of the phone.) Once again, this is not too concerning too me.
The sides cover the entire portions. Although when I installed mine, I put on the sides first. (Which I later learned was my mistake.) The sides appear to be short. But the top and bottom pieces cover some of the sides as well. So when you guys install the shields, put the top and bottom protectors on before you put the sides on! Also, one more thing to note that I did not like. The back screen protector leaves a hole for the HTC logo. I would have liked to protect the entire back, including the logo.

Rating: 9.5/10. Overall, the protector is really good! Can barely notice it. Love the feel of the protector. Very smooth to the touch. Would have been a 10/10 if it covered 100% of the phone.

ZAGG Invisible Shield:

I bought this during the 50% off sale. But due to reviews of the tacky feel, I gave this to a friend. So this review will be how I saw it on his Evo.
Surprising enough....this shield is really smooth!! Not rubbery at all.
(The Ghost Armor is a little bit smoother. But not by much.)

Installation: Friend said it went with relative ease. Makes phone look glossy as well.

Pieces:
7

Overall Coverage: OK guys, there are areas left uncovered by this skin. The back matte finish is left unprotected. (Just like the Ghost Armor.) I did like how the HTC logo on the back was protected. BUT, the volume rocker portion is left unprotected in a certain area. The top and side pieces do not perfectly match up on this side. And also where the power button is, there is an area left unprotected there as well. Other than those areas, everything seems to be really good with this skin from what I can tell.

Rating: 9/10. I didn't notice the tackiness or orange peel texture that Zagg reviews typically state. It was smooth to the touch. It got a 9 due to the small areas left exposed.

Out of these two shields.....I would recommend the Ghost Armor.
