Re: ░░░░ MightyROM.com ░░░░ Windows Phone® ░░░░ Update Available!

Is there any good way to change the speed dialing behavior? I've never liked the way that speed dialing works, where you have to press the *last* speed dial "button" for a certain time period (i.e. if its "9", you must press 9 down for several seconds, but if its "23", you must quickly press 2 but then press only 3 for several seconds).

It is way too easy to mess up the speed dialing algorithm and then you're left with digits that you must delete. WM being as laggy as it is, and with the uncertainties of the touch screen response, the actual REAL TIME that you must depress the *last* digit is all over the place... usually it is 1-2 seconds, but with lag, sometimes it takes 5+ seconds before the dialer responds.

The worse aspect of the design is that if you simply dial 9 TALK, that DOESN'T engage speed dialing ... it thinks you want to dial the phone number "9"... how stupid is that???

At minimum I'd like to see a speed dial mod that knows that if you are only dialing 1-2 digits (1-99) followed by TALK, that it assumes it is a speed dial (like most other phones). Leave in the stupid timing algorithm if you must, but allow the alternative of 1-99 + TALK.
