Thank you all... my roommate actually solved the issue ironically...
He took the battery out and held down power for 5 seconds. discharged the capacitor i guess... put battery back in. WORKS LIKE A CHAMP...Thanks to all who replied. i do greatly appreciate it. have a great week all...
