Im not an Evo owner yet, mine should be in today or tomorrow. But from what I've been reading, there is a full flash enabler for the Evo, and if im not mistaken the phone does not have to be rooted. Search the first 2 pages and you should see such.
If im wrong anyone feel free to chime in...
